October 2026:
What a nice time of year to be in Rehoboth — smallish crowds, easy reservations, free parking!
We’ve been freshening up the apartment. Cleaning was easy, and there really wasn’t much to do, as we’ve had some great guests this year. We did do the usual deeper cleanings: vent dust, touchup paint. We also replaced missing items, which this year included a fork and some hangers, plus replacing a broken squeegee. And we checked the TV plus all appliances (blender, toaster, coffee makers, vacuum, etc.)
We’ve updated some of our furnishings:
- New clock with USB-C, USB-A, and wireless charging for your devices.
- New charging station with updated ports for the other side of the bed.
- A new set of non-stick pots and pans.
- New drain stopper for the kitchen sink.
- New lacquered tray for the sitting area.
Rumor has it our building’s association is considering replacing the swimming pool. This will be a big deal, pulling the old one out, slotting in a new one, and might cost around $800k or so. Fortunately, our reserves are quite healthy, and we don’t expect it will lead to a price increase beyond the usual inflation adjustment, and hopefully it will all happen in the winter to minimize disruption to your holiday plans!

March 2025:
We’ve just installed a new air conditioner and heater. The old one wasn’t giving us any trouble, but it was 26 years old, and designed to last only 15-20 years. Rather than risk a breakdown in the middle of the summer, we bit the bullet and replaced it. Let us know if you encounter any problems.
