Please help us out…

  • Thermostat: In the summer, set it to 75 when you leave. In the winter, set it to 65. You can set to heating or cooling by tapping the word “mode”.
  • Hooks. Please, no hooks. Please, do not attach anything to our walls. We’ll remove whatever you leave behind, any damage will be charged to you, and you may even end up on a “Do Not Rent” list. We had $200 in damage in 2024 because of hooks. Yeah, we know, there are those Commander hooks that SAY you can remove them without damage to the wall. Don’t bet on it. They do work —- but only sometimes!
  • Shower door. If upon arrival you find that it doesn’t close properly, please contact us or Mann and Sons right away. It may be that the previous guest pushed it past the retaining strip so that it now swings improperly into the shower instead of out into the room. It’s easy to fix, but failure to do so can cause water damage. And we’d rather you didn’t try to fix it yourself.
  • Screen balcony door. Particularly if you have small children, please teach them how to open the door without pushing on the screen. If upon arrival you find the screen is already punched out, just let us know and we’ll have someone fix it straight away.
  • Towels (or anything else) hanging over the balcony railings. Nope. Don’t do it. Totally against the building’s rules, and believe me, you don’t want building management to come banging on your door. But you can drape your towel over one of the chairs if you like.
  • Smoking. Nope. Don’t do it. Not even on the balcony. The wind will suck the smoke into the unit next to yours, and they will make a fuss. Plus, there’s a fine and a rather hefty cleaning charge.
  • Tell us! Likes? Dislikes? Something needs repair? An appliance you’d like to see? You’ll be given a sheet for comments that you can return to the front desk, and we read every word, promise! Or write to us directly!
