Most people think of Rehoboth as a summer destination (as in, all those “Summer Capital” signs), but it’s actually quite beautiful in the fall. The pace slows down a bit and some of the restaurants close, but enough remain open to keep most people well-fed and very happy.
The fall also offers two of our favorite Rehoboth events: the Sandcastle & Sculpture Contest (September 8 in 2018) and the Halloween-ish Sea Witch Festival (October 26-28) – a huge three-day affair that features a grand parade on Rehoboth Avenue, a dog parade on the boardwalk, and storefront trick-or-treating for the kids. Dogs dressed as sharks – how can you resist?
